Junior Gilbert

Junior Clifton Gilbert, 85, of Benton died Monday, Nov. 17, 2008. He was born Oct. 31, 1923, in Saline County, Ark. Mr. Gilbert was a self-employed roofer and a member of the Pentecostal Church of God in Bryant.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifton and Sidney Gilbert; two sons, Tommy Clifton Gilbert and Ronald Andrew Gilbert; four brothers, James A., Vernon, Preston and David Gilbert; and one sister, Lois Gilbert Green.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Gilbert of Benton; two sons, Richard Samuel Gilbert of Benton and Robert Lindsey Gilbert of Little Rock; three daughters, Sydney Rose Rogers of Benton, Mary Beth Moore of Newark and Sherry Lynn Capleaner of Benton; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 19, at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Bro. Grover Farrow will be officiating.
