Trudie Hutchings

Trudie Lee Mansfield Hutchings, 94, of Benton died on Friday, Nov. 14, 2008. She was born Oct. 13, 1914, in Pike County, Ark. Trudie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, friend, sister and a charter member of the Highway Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Mack Hutchings; her parents H.T. and Mary Dow Mansfi eld; a grandson, Jeffery Scott Hutchings of Benton; two sisters, Ruby Mansfield and Audrey Delaney; four brothers, Austin, Felix, Troy and J.D. Mansfield; and an "adopted" granddaughter, Beverly Bearden Gustafson.

She is survived by a brother, Cecil Mansfield of Murfreesboro; a sister, Katie Barnes of Pearland, Texas; one sister-in-law, Carrie Conaster of Houston, Texas; daughter, Bennie Estelle of Texarkana, Texas; sons, Charles Stanley Hutchings and wife Carole of Tulsa, Okla., James Hutchings and wife Paulette of Benton and Larry Hutchings and wife Deborah of Bryant; seven grandchildren, Joelle Berlat, Joan Hutchings, Jill Rackley, James R. Hutchings, Shawn Hutchings, Laura Pinckley and Heather Rogers; and four great-grandchildren, Amelia and Caleb Rogers and twins expected in February.

The funeral was Monday, Nov. 17, at Ashby Funeral Home with Jerry Almond offi ciating. Internment was in New Rosemont Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Highway Church of Christ Building Fund, 18514 I-30, Benton AR 72019 or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
