Annie Burks

Annie Moody Burks, 101, of Benton died Nov. 5, 2008.

She was born Feb. 18, 1907, in Saline County. She attended Cross Roads Baptist Church.

Mrs. Burks was preceded in death by her husband, Hosie Burks; her parents, Charlie and Betty Moody; five brothers; two sisters; two grandchildren, Melissa Human and Mark Adcock; and great-great-grandchild, Sidney White.

Survivors include a son, Harold Burks of Benton; a daughter, Maureen Adcock of Harriman, Tenn.; six grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren and four greatgreat grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Alan Collier, Darrell Moody, Manuel Montavio, Tommy Hunnicutt, Johnny Smith, Stevie Burks, David Burks and Curtis Burks.

Graveside services by Ashby Funeral Home were Saturday at Moore Cemetery with Bob Weigel officiating.
