Dorothy Halpain

Dorothy Faye Halpain, 73, of Alexander died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008.

She was born Oct. 9, 1934, in Saline County, to John and Rosie Lee Williams. Mrs. Halpain was a former employee of Alcoa Inc. and a homemaker. She attended Light House Baptist Church on Salt Creek Road in Benton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Jeramie Bumgardner.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Troyce Thelbert Halpain; two sons, Gary Dale Halpain and wife Debbie and Jerry Don Halpain; three daughters, Lida Faye Allen and husband Tom, Karen Jane Bumgardner and husband Randy and Patty Lee Halpain and husband Bruce; three brothers, Johnnie, Hubert and Boyce Williams; four sisters, Wanda Reynolds, Jean House, Joyce Beasley and Sarah Arthur; 11 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her grandsons, Tommy Hamilton, Keith Isom, Matt Tackett, Brandon Riggins, Jerry Jr. Halpain, Kenny Long, Michael Shellnut, James Phillips, James Ward and Farris Hensley.

Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 6, at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at Pipkin Cemetery. Bro. Morgan Flagler officiated.

Memorials may be made to the Light House Baptist Church.
