SCOOTER TRAINING
 | | (Above) Scott Forrest of Oregon instructs a class on how to use the power band on their scooters. Forrest was in Bauxite last week working with Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCoaches to train them on the new scooter curriculum. The coaches are learning how to administer the class, called Scooter School 1. It is a four-hour class to familiarize riders with scooter riding techniques. There were also several real students in the class with the MSF coaches. David Smith of Albuquerque, N.M., oversaw the class. (Right) Lloyd Vanover, RiderCoach trainer for Arkansas, waits to make a turn on the Motorcycle Safety Foundation range at Pulaski Tech's campus in Bauxite. Steve Walker with MSF and Arkansas Bikers Aimed Toward Education in Little Rock, said the demand for scooter training is on the rise. The Vespa scooters for the class were provided by BMW of Little Rock. |
