Donald Sharpless

Donald Eugene Sharpless, 78, of Bryant died Sunday, Aug. 17, 2008. He was born April 4, 1930, in Benton to Frank and Mary Sharpless. He was a U.S. Army veteran, an operator at Birchtree and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his wife, Ida Sharpless of Bryant; a son, Donald Sharpless of California; two daughters, Melinda Benoit of Benton and Shelly Keane of California; a sister, LouAnn Cameron of Benton; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20 at Ashby Funeral Home.

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.
