Remember to vote

At the Saline County Voice, we admire those who have chosen to put their names on the ballot for next week's party primaries and nonpartisan judicial contests. We also remind those same people that the positions they seek aren't jobs as much as they are opportunities for public service.

We also take this final opportunity before May 20 to remind qualified residents of the county that they can vote early at the "Vote Here" building across the street from the courthouse or at their polling places on Election Day.

Voters also are reminded that it is not a primary when it comes to judicial elections. Candidates are elected on May 20, unless there is a runoff. If a runoff is required, it will be held in conjunction with the November general election.
