Ernest Munson

Ernest "Burl" Munson, 82, of Benton, died May 6, 2008, in Little Rock. He was born April 19, 1926, in Little Rock to George Houston and Bethany Munson.

He was a millwright with Reynolds Metals Co. Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Michael Munson; and two brothers, John Munson and Earl Munson.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years, Doris Goodwin Munson; three sons, David Scott Munson of Little Rock, Christopher Styles Munson and wife Raquel of Little Rock and Grant Simpson and wife Tina of Dallas, Texas; grandchildren, Matt Munson and Kori Munson both of Mayflower, David Christopher Munson of Little Rock, Andrew Simpson and Austin Simpson, both of Dallas; one brother, Alfred "Al" Munson and wife Dorothy of Warren,; a sister-in-law, Irene Munson of Russellville; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were held Thursday, May 8, at Martin Cemetery in Little Rock with the Rev. Larry Ballard officiating.
