JOINT PROCLAMATION

Benton Mayor Rick Holland and Bryant Mayor Larry Mitchell recently met with members of the Saline County Relay for Life committee to sign proclamations for both cities declaring May 12-17 "Relay for Life Week." Both proclamations urge "all citizens to participate in the event recognizing the importance of finding a cure for cancer that could prolong life." Relay for Life will be held at the Benton High School Practice Field from 6 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. Saturday. There will be activities for all ages. All proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society.
