Hot Springs residents were charged with shoplifting in unrelated incidents recently.

Candi Adams, 29, of Park Avenue was cited March 21 after a Wal-Mart employee told Benton police he saw her place items in a purse and exit without paying for them. Recovered items included a purse, body wash, underwear, shampoo, bandages and deodorant, valued at $77.40.

Sandra L. Roberts, 43, of Pullman Street, was cited March 6 after a Target employee told Bryant police he saw her conceal four sandals and a DVD burner, then walk past all cash registers. She also was told she'd be charged with criminal trespassing if she returns to the store. Items were valued at $119.95.

Marissa K. Edelmann, 20, of Styles Road, Benton, was cited March 6 at Kohl's after an employee said she concealed items in the dressing room. A necklace, two shirts and a pair of jeans were recovered, valued at a total of $99.99. She was told not to return to the store.
