George L. Byers

George L. Beyers, Jr., 93, of Benton, died Sunday, March 9, 2008. He was born Jan. 7, 1915, at Mason, Tenn., to George L. and Patty (Jackett) Beyers, Sr.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his first wife, Pearl C. (Carson) Beyers.

Mr. Beyers owned and operated an electronic manufacturing company.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Beyers; one son, George L. Beyers III of Benton; three grandsons; caregiver JoAnn Burks Freeman; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services were conducted Wednesday, March 12, in Pinecrest Memorial Park with the Rev. Victor Green officiating. Roller-Ballard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
