Everett Blaylock

Everett "Red" Ervin Blaylock, 89, of Benton, died March 15, 2008, in Benton. He was born Dec. 29, 1918, to Albert and Maggie (Mixon) Blaylock in Havana, Ark. Mr. Blaylock was a welder and an avid gardener.

His parents preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years, Agness (Littleton) Blaylock; son, Harold Blaylock and wife Linda of Tull; daughter, LaVerne Malone and husband Archie of Benton; brother, Jay Blaylock and wife Lois of Booneville; sister, Charlene Webb of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Dewayne Blaylock and wife Karen, Teresa Spicer and husband Terry, Lorraine Hicks and husband Lance, Steve Malone and wife Mary, and Mike Malone and wife Lisa, all of Benton; 11 great-grandchildren; six greatgreat grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 19, at 1 p.m. at Moore's Chapel in Waveland, Ark., with Linda and Bobby Moore officiating. Interment will follow at Moore's Chapel Cemetery.

Visitation was held Tuesday, March 18, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the Staff at Saline Memorial Hospice for the tender and loving care given to "Red".
