Doris J. Brewer

Doris Juanita Brewer, 81, of Benton died Friday, Feb. 29, 2008. She was born Aug. 24, 1926, in Dekalb, Texas. Mrs. Brewer was a retired switchboard operator at the Benton Service Center and a member of the Midway Extension Homemakers Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Florence and Jesse Rankin and two brothers, Bill and J.W. Rankin, all of Texarkana.

She is survived by her beloved son, Phillip Booher; five nieces, Robin Rankin, Resa Aguilar, Bandy Rankin, Cindy Tucker, all of Benton, and Doris Jean Youngblood of Texarkana; brother Don Rankin of Benton; sister Geneva Gabe of Texarkana; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Graveside services were Monday at Fairplay Cemetery.
