Barbara N. McDanel

Mrs. Barbara N. McDanel, 66 of Benton died Monday, Dec. 3, 2007, in Benton. She was born July 28, 1941, in Ft. Worth, Texas, to the late Gene L. and Mildred Abner Lievsay. Mrs. McDanel was a retired RN, and was Director of the Medicare Medical Review for Blue Cross-Blue Shield for 30 years, she was an organist for various churches for 50 years, a volunteer at The Christian Community Care Center in Benton and a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church in Benton.

Survivors are her husband, Billy Ray McDanel of Benton; daughters and sons-in-law, Suewonna Robbins and her husband, Steve, and Ladonna Clark and her husband, Mike, all of Benton; brothers, Dwain Lievsay of Atlanta, Ga., and Dr. Alvin Lievsay of Huntsville, Ark.; grandchildren, Chase Barnes and wife, Britni, Ross Green, Kate Belew, Rachael Belew, Madison Belew, Lindsey Clark and Duncan Robbins.

Funeral services were Wednesday at Spring Creek Baptist Church in Benton, with burial at Pinecrest Cemetery by Ashby Funeral Home. Minister was Rev. Carl Ritchey.

Pallbearers were Mike Clark, Steve Robbins, Chase Barnes, Ross Green, Jerry Measle and George Laisure.
