Elton Leslie Sr.

Elton Leslie, Sr., 68, of Benton, died Dec. 7, 2007, in Little Rock. He was born Sept. 2, 1939, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., to the late Claude and Clara (Hardesty) Leslie. Mr. Leslie was a welder in the steel works business.

Preceding him in death besides his parents, were two brothers.

Survivors include his wife, Norma Leslie of 46 years, of Fairplay Community, three sons, Elton Leslie, Jr. and wife, Stacy, of Beebe, Ark., David Leslie of Benton and Randy Leslie and wife, Theresa, of Benton; two daughters, Pamela Butts and husband, Dennis, of Marion, Ark., and Diane Cordell and husband, John, of Gideon, Mo.; 12 grandchildren; five greatgrandchildren; seven sisters; and two brothers.

Funeral services were Monday, Dece. 10 at Roller-Ballard Funeral Home in Benton with Rev. Michael Bass officiating. Interment followed at Fairplay Cemetery, Fairplay Community. Rosary was held Sunday at the funeral home with visitation following.
