A Hot Springs Village man was charged with possession of a controlled substance and driving on a revoked license after an Alcoa Road traffic stop.

Clifton Neiswander, 44, of 21 Teldy Circle, was stopped at Alcoa Crossing after Benton police saw his northbound 1991 Buick Century had no license plate. A bag with suspected marijuana and rolling papers were found in the car. Also found was a hand-rolled cigarette and four butts.

He was taken to Saline County jail and held on a Hunt County, Texas warrant.

A North Little Rock man was charged with driving while intoxicated, no proof of insurance and defective headlight after his Ford pickup truck was stopped at the corner of Edison Avenue and Second Street.

Dane N. Ziemski, 23, told police he'd had "about three beers." He tested 0.11 breath-alcohol content at Saline County jail. His truck was towed.

A Santee motorcycle frame and Rev Tech transmission, garden tiller, oven, generator and camping supplies were taken from his locked South Street storage unit, a Benton man said. The burglar reportedly cut a lock, but left behind a headmounted flashlight. Loss: $4.935.

Two Rockford Fosgate speakers, a car stereo and some 15 CDs were taken from his car overnight, a Wild Ivy Cove man said. Loss: $1,050.

An Apple iPod music player and iTrip radio were taken from a Memphis woman's car while it was parked at Madison Place. Loss: $330. The complainant said her sport-utility vehicle was also ransacked, and three harmonicas were taken from her father's vehicle. Loss: $30.

A purse was taken from an unlocked sport-utility vehicle parked at Madison Village. While an officer was making the report, a man drove up and said he'd found a wet purse in a ditch next to the Wildwood subdivision entrance at Gattin Road. It was the complainant's purse, but her cash was missing.

A Benton man said his daughter's daypack was taken from his locked Dodge Neon on the Sutherland's parking lot. It contained a 35-mm Pentax camera and schoolbooks. Loss: $400.

An inflatable Christmas snowman was taken from her Second Street, Benton home, a woman said. The thief attempted to take other items, as well. Loss: $30.

Christmas decorations were taken from her yard, a Harmon Street woman said. Taken were two white reindeer with lights, Christmas figures with lights and spiral lawn Christmas trees with lights. Loss: $290.

Change was stolen from a 1999 Honda Odyssey parked at a business in the 900 block of West South Street, a Benton woman said. The complainant said she might have also had a couple of bank receipts in the vehicle.

Glass was broken from a door at New Life Baptist Church, 156 West Drive, Benton. Loss: $500.

Two Cooper tires were slashed on his Dodge Ram pickup, and two Pirelli tires were slashed on his wife's Ford Mustang at their home, an Austin Street man said. Loss: $880.

A 1985 black Ford Ranger pickup was taken from a Cody Street house, the owner told Benton police. Loss: $1,500.
