Dorothy Williams

Dorothy Pauline Brown Williams, age 83, of Little Rock, formerly of Bryant; died Sunday Nov. 18, 2007. She was the widow of Rev. Howard L. Williams. Mrs. Williams was born on June 20, 1924, in Bryant, Ark., to the late John and Burlie Catherine Brown. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Benton.

Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Hiram Brown; and a sister, Edna McMoran.

She is survived by her children, Emily Williams of Little Rock and Karen Clements and husband, Jeff, of Alexander; grandchildren, Jessica Wood and husband, Josh, of Benton, Casey Hitt of Little Rock and Brittany Webber-Zeiner of Bryant; great-grandchildren, Jade Brannon and Riley Wood of Benton; siblings, Doris Weise of Benton, Violette Johnson of Bryant, Willene Deaton and husband, V.J., of Benton, Wesley Brown and wife, Noma, of Bryant and Harold Brown and wife Doris of Warren.

Funeral services were Wednesday, Nov. 21 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery. Dr. George McCoy officiated.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
