The Family Council at the Bryant Health Care Center sponsored a fall festival for residents recently, with more than 20 children and more than 50 residents and staff members attending.
Staff members said they believed events such as the "Booo-rrifficc Fall Festival" give residents at the center a chance to remember their past celebrations and a chance to be with children.
Center residents or family members hosted games at the event. They included a cakewalk, fishing pond, bowling and face painting. A costume contest was held for the children and the residents. Decorations included coloring sheets created by the 4- year-olds class of The Learning Center in Bryant.
Staff members told a visitor that the event was a success because of the donation by area businesses of products that were used as prizes for the games. The sponsors included Wal-Mart in Benton, Wal-Mart in Bryant, Sonic, U.S. Bank, Union Bank, Wendy's, Coleman-Turner Dairy, Little Caesar's, Family Dollar Store, Scallions Restaurant, Cracker Barrel, Arkansas Health Center Federal Credit Union, McDonalds, Chick-fil-a and Baskin-Robbins.
