Warren A. Childress

Warren A. "Skeet" Childress, 89, of Booneville, formerly of Benton; died Monday, Oct. 15, 2007. He was born on June 30, 1918, in Bellville, Ark. Childress was retired from Reynolds Metals, a W.W. II Navy veteran and a Baptist. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Eastern Star.

His parents, William Allen and Rachel Alice Childress and his first wife, Gladys Childress, preceded Mr. Childress in death.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Childress of Booneville; daughter, Marilyn S. Cochran Burks of Benton; brother, Neal Childress of California; granddaughters, Susan Lewallen of Benton, Karen Cole of Benton and Deb Kane of Vilonia; greatgrandchildren, Amy Pritchard, Josh Lewallen, Megan Kennedy, Dustin Kennedy and Tyler Cole, great-great-grandchildren, Logan Pritchard and Braylen McNeil; extended family, three sons, Sam Green, Tom Green and Dale Green.

Funeral services were Wednesday at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery.
