Lillian O. George

Lillian O. George, 89, of Benton, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2007. She was born Aug. 9, 1918, in Yell County to the late Joseph and Rosa Bell Chism. Lillian was a life long member of the Social Hill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Homer George.

Survivors are sons, James George and wife, Shirley, of Watson Chapel, Jackie George and wife, Shirley, of Benton, Jerrell George and wife, Sandy, of Benton; daughters, Jevan Cloud of Benton, Joan Landreth and husband, Jack, of Benton, Jenita Rorie of Benton, Judy Crutchfield of Benton and Tammy Walpole and husband, Dennis, of Benton; brother, Van Chism and wife, Jewel Dean, of Benton; sister, Virginia Milks of Benton; 20 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Allan George, Kevin George, Paul George, Jerred George, Jackie Lee George, Jr. and Michael Rorie. Honorary pallbearers were the 30 great-grandchildren.

Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home were Friday, Oct. 12, 2007, with Bro. Eddie Kitchens officiating. Burial was at Social Hill Cemetery.
