Mary Jane Alpe

Mary Jane Alpe, 71, of Bryant, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008.  She was born Dec. 25, 1936 in Bauxite, Ark. to Cary and Easter Ball.

Mrs. Alpe was a secretary for the Frank Lyon Co. and the City of Bryant. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton. Preceding her in death were her parents; son, Ronald “Ronny” Alpe and a brother, N.K. Ball.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Andrew Alpe Jr.; son, Mark Andrew Alpe and a daughter, Amy Alpe, all of Bryant.

Pallbearers will be Brad Alpe, Doug Alpe, Scott MacFarlane, Cary Ball, David Smart, Gary Haynie and Jim Christian.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Ashby Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Benton with burial at Forest Hills Cemetery. Father Michael Bass will be officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Saline County Library.
